Yeah, that’s correct. I’m no “master and commander,” but my bride and I are getting ready to take off for the “far side of the world.”
We leave the USA on Friday, February 29 to fly into the next day over the Pacific. A brief deplaning in Taipei will preceed the flight to Kuala Lumpur. From there, two and a half days after leaving our country, we will embark for our final destination.
In that far away land we will visit two different localities for graduations of two sets of students and conferences with two sets of pastors. We will stay in familiar hotes – the same ones I slept in back in October. And, the second set of graduates will be the 15 young men I taught on my earlier visit.
It will be a special time of reunion, and I will deliver the commencement address from John 13. What a privilege to explain from God’s Word what these guys should expect as they enter pastoral ministry.
I pray that I will model the things I will be telling them.
Thanks in advance for your prayers about all this. Pray for our safe travel, our safety while abroad, and our health. Pray this also for the 5 other couples with whom we go.
And, yes, come back to this blog site often, as I will, at least from the 29th on, be posting with regularity!
Thank you for your updates. I try to check this several times a week. I enjoy your blog and look forward to your postings while you and your beautiful bride are doing God’s work. Praise Him!!!!!!!
